Is there any considerations or alteration that can be made to ensure that file get copied correctly & consistantly?
We currently take a backup copy of a running Virtual Machine hard disk every night. It works perfectly however every second or third copy, the backup fails with the below error:
CRC check failed: file "\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1\VMWare\VM - Base OS-DOMAIN - 2003\Domain-100GB.vmdk" not copied correctly.
I'm assuming this is to do with VSS, but what can be done?
I am using Windows XP with RAID 1 SATA drives with 4 gigs of memory. |

It could be an issue with the target disk....
Can you try copying the same files to a differnet target location?
PS I assume nobody is changing the target file while the file is being copied.
