Hi All,
I'm testing the software out and am experiencing problems Synchronising folders.
>> The setup:
I'm using VVLauncher on a single XP machine. My profile is basically set up as follows :
(Source > Target)
FolderA > FolderB
FolderA > FolderC
FolderA > FolderD
Comparison Method: Size and Timestamp, Tracking Database Enabled.
>> The problem:
* If I delete a file from FolderA, VV removes the file from FolderB, FolderC and FolderD
* If I delete a file from FolderC, VV removes the file from FolderA, FolderB and FolderD
* If I delete a file from FolderD, VV removes the file from FolderA, FolderC and FolderD
BUT*
If I delete a file from Folder B, VV removes the file from FolderA, pops the file back into FolderA (presumably sync'd from FolderC or FolderD?) and the file appears back in FolderB, where it was deleted from in the first place
Is there a problem with my method, or is this a VV problem? |

I've tried the VVEngine approach and have 3 separate profiles running.
(Source > Target)
Profile 1: FolderA > FolderB
Profile 2: FolderA > FolderC
Profile 3: FolderA > FolderD
But I get the following message come up on at least 2 of the 3 profiles.
"Profile settings have changed since the last time the tracking database was saved. Synchronization tracking database in the profile settings needs to be reset."
I have tried this when monitoring changes, scheduling one profile to run after the other and scheduling one profile to run every minute.
I can't help but think there is a problem with my method... |

Hi, you will need to use a different sync tracking database for each profile (also a different log file is better). thanks _________________ --
