Hello, we archive all our data everyday so if every thing gets deleted then the archive can be restored. Yesterday i tried to restore a roaming profile that got deleted, the backup that night removed it from the backup and put in the archive but it added the date to the end of all the files making it impossible to restore the profile, Without renaming every file.

Is there any way to get the archive to put things in sub folders ?

Hi , did you try using the archive viewer tool (accessible from the ViceVersa tool menu)? You can select multiple files and then from the contect menu you can select "copy to...".

Changing the subject slightly, this context menu has a bug when attempting to view 'properties' when the \\?\ long path syntax is enabled. It complains about path not found, with the \\?\ being shown in the path it is complaining aobut. I think something needs to be translated before being handed to windows. win2ksp4.
