I just changed computers so I moved all my vice versa profiles to my new computer. I am backing up to the same computer, I have that mapped as my Q: drive.
this only happens on my new computer: when I start the backup shortcut to the profile, I am told the Q: drive isn't found. When I open windows explorer I then see it and it seems that all I need to do is open windows explorer and then I can run my profile. For the mapped drive I am not asked for a user name or password, that is already set.
Does anyonw know why I can only start my profile after I open windows explorer and see my mapped drive?
thanks |

Hi, try entering the network credentials in ViceVersa, under profile settings->folders->network. Use the UNC path for the network drive. thanks _________________ --

Thanks for the reply.
I am using version 2.0.0.7 and don't see what you are talking about. I could be stupid (or drunk for that matter ) but I just don't see where to put that in.
I opened ViceVersa, then opened my profile, then clicked on 'change profile settings' I then clciked on 'more...' I see where the filders area is but I don't see anywhere to put the network authority in.
Could you post a screen shot? Maybe I am in the wrong spot.
Thanks. |
