I have ViceSersa running on a Windows 2003 Small Business Server which is also runs Exchange 2003 for the site. I have created the Global_end.vbs script, but the script fails each time to tries to send the email. Here is what the log shows:

2007-06-03 13:02:07 : Running script c:\program files\viceversa pro 2\GlobalScripts\Global_end.vbs
2007-06-03 13:02:13 : Script Output:

I have tried all sorts of combinations of user, password and SMTP values but cannot find one that will work. For the user I am using just the user name, ie. administrator. The password is the administrator's login password. The SMTP server is the FQDN of the local 2003 server, ie. server01.ovcn.local. If I were setting up an email client such as Outlook Express I believe these settings would work. Can I use the IP address of the SMTP server instead of the name? Should the user name contain more than just the account name?

It just seems that this shouldn't be a problem, but it continues to fail. Are there any Exchange settings that could be causing this error? Do you have an example of a script that actually works on a Windows 2003 server?

Thanks,
Gerry

Just on a hunch I changed the authenication method in the script from cdoBasic to cdoAnonymous and the email then went through and was delivered.

End of problem.
