Synch has stopped working in one direction only

Hi

Interesting problem has cropped up with no changes to synch profiles or known changes to problem computer(s). Synch has been running great for 6+ months. Configuration is:

Tom-620 (Laptop1) <-> E&G Pooker (Server1) <-> Server2 <-> Laptop2

Synch works for all cases, except for synching changed files on Server1 to Laptop1. Files changed on Laptop1 are synched to Server1. Error is that the "System cannot find the path specified" as shown below. No mapped drives are used as shown below with Exit Code of 3.

Yesterday when I ran a Compare & Execute in ViceVersa Pro it worked. Now the same issue happens when I run in ViceVersa Pro also.

Honestly, I am not sure but what comes to mind is that this could be an error related to the 'Volume Shadow Copy'. Does it happen for all files that are to be copied from laptop 1 to server 1 or only for certain files?

I will try disabling Volume Shadow Copy as there are seldom files open on the server that need to be synched. If this works I will post a reply.

The issue happens for all files that are placed on Server1 that need to be synched to Laptop1. Files from Laptop1 are correctly synched over to Server1.

The problem is related to Volume Shadow Copy (VSC) when it is selected in the VV Pro profile for the job. I have verified several times that when not checked it works and when checked it fails.

I viewed the VSC service in services.msc and it was started. I did a re-start on the VSC service and the failure mode was the same.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Any idea on why the problem developed.

Hi Pete, I do not know how the problem could have developed, but I see the message << Can not open "\E&G Pooker\Common\Downloads\Translators & Viewers\SolidWorks\eDrawings2007\eDrawingsFullEnglish.exe" >> and it looks like the e:\ prefix is missing, I wonder if this is related...

I assumed the dropping of the e:\ prefix, was the typical format of the error code. The e drive is a physical HDD on the system.

I can live without the Volume Shadow Copy on this system. If you want me to debug any further let me know.
