Running VV to Backup NAS data to external Lacie Drive which is provided as a mapped drive. Server running VV is a VM ESX server 4 proc's with 8 GB mem and 1.5 x pagefile. The NAS space holds roughly 2.5 TB so the file counts are extremely large. Have tried breaking it down to sub profiles but it seems that at 3.6 million files I always get the Out of Memory error. Tried this on multiple machines all with different configurations and the result is always the same. Is this a limitation of VV in the amount of files per profile and if so are there any plans to increase this threshold. Breaking it down to 3 million file chunks is going to take a long period of time to destage the NAS so was wondering if there were ways around this. Thanks _________________ Crazy |

Hi, each ViceVersa profile currently can handle up to approximately 1 million files. I think you are hitting the maximum here. There is no other workaround but to split the job into multiple profiles... _________________ --
