Its much slower for VV to delete files then it is for it to copy them. I assume this is because its moving the files into the trash bin rather then actually deleting them.
is this behavior configurable? better yet is it configurable on a per-job basis? If its only deleting 10-20 files the wait isnt so bad. But if it happens to need to delete a few hundred files, it takes forever for it to delete the files.
The other alternative would be to have VV delete all the files at once, rather then deleting them one at a time which is what it seems to be doing now.
Seems rather ironic that copying files is blazing fast compared to just deleting them. |

In the Preferences (select form the 'view' menu) you can switch off "copy to recycle bin" which will make deleting faster. _________________ --

I just spent 10 minutes trying to find View -> Preferences. Please allow View -> Preferences to be available when in the 2nd level dialog. Otherwise, new customers might be driven nuts! |
