|
|
I try to synchronize some files to Mac OS X share. They synchronize all right. The problem is when I try to open the archived files from the ViceVersa window. When they are compressed or encrypted I receive the information about the error while decompressing/encrypting. If I change the destination path to a share on a Windows server it all works fine. I haven't tried opening archive files, but I guess the problem would be the same.
I am left with the backed up files that I cannot restore.
A different error appears when I try to copy backed-up files with the Copy To Source or Copy To commands. The error says: 'Can not copy NTFS Additional File Streams of file "....". The request is not supported. Why VV tries to copy the file streams when I have this option turned off?
I use Vista 64 bit as the system that executes VV. |

Hello
just to make sure, do you get this message << 'Can not copy NTFS Additional File Streams of file "...." >> even if you have the option 'do not copy file / folders data streams' in the profile settings -> advanced settings ?
thanks! _________________ --

Hi,
Yes, I double checked it. The error shows when the option 'Copy permissions, security attributes and streams (NTFS only)' is disabled (all other options on that page are turned off too). If I have this option turned on, I can't even backup files, but that's understandable (sort of, because it works on Linux shares) . Otherwise, I can backup but not restore.
Thanks,
