Hello

I get the following error:

Code:
2007-10-10 10:54:07 : [ERROR] \\SRVGMBH\Intern\Informations-Archiv\Normen Intranet : Das Handle ist ungültig.
2007-10-10 10:54:07 : [ERROR] Error while reading Source information.

It says that the handle is invalid but I can access the folder with the windows explorer without a problem and can also open the files there.

I am using VV 2.0 Pro on a Win Server 2003 SP2.

Do you have an idea what could be causing this error?

Thanks for your answer.

Greets
Patrick

It is on our other server in another town. So the sync goes over the internet (VPN connection).
The other server also runs Win Server 2003 SP2, the folder mentioned above is just a normal windows share.
Syncs with other folders work fine.

No, there are also other folders with a space in the name, but not so many.
There are even folders with vowel mutation (like ö, ö, ü) in the folder name but there is no sync problem at all.

That's also why I can't explain this error...

This folder only contains about 9MB of files (59 files, 11 folders).
I also checked the length of the filename, but the longest filename (including the path) was about 130 characters, so that shouldn't be the problem.

The strange thing is that it used to work a couple of days/weeks ago. And then suddenly there was this error message although I can access the files with the windows explorer...

I temporarly changed the folder name:
Code:
"Normen Intranet" -> "Normen_Intranet"

Then I ran a testjob and it worked fine.

Afterwards I set back the folder name:
Code:
"Normen_Intranet" -> "Normen Intranet"

and ran the normal backup job und guess what: it worked fine!! Smile
Very odd Confused Confused Confused

I hope the error won't shop up again...
